Svoboda to read at L.A. Festival PDF Print E-mail

Terese Svoboda, daughter of Frank Svoboda, will be reading from “Weapons Grade,” her fifth book of poetry, at the L.A. Festival of the Book April 29. She will also be reading at California State University, Northridge, and at Scripps College where her niece, Sean Svoboda is a graduating senior.
The author of 13 books of prose, poetry and translation, Svoboda will be publishing the novel “Bohemian Girl” this fall, her third with the University of Nebraska Press imprint, Bison Books.
She will read from the new book at the Omaha Lit Festival this fall.
Svoboda is a graduate of Ogallala High School and teaches at Columbia’s School of the Arts. Her work includes “Black Glasses Like Clark Kent,” a memoir about her uncle Donald Svoboda who farmed in Grant.
