The Annual Perkins County Retirement Association (PCRA) meeting was held Feb. 12 at the Westview Retirement Community at 1 Westview Drive in Grant.

The meeting began at 5:30 p.m. and a supper of chili and cinnamon rolls was served.

President Marion Robertson welcomed everyone. Prayer was led by Treasurer Denny Hansen. The meeting was called to order by Robertson at 6:15 p.m.

Minutes of the March 15, 2023 meeting were read by Secretary Tawna Holmstead, and the minutes were approved as read.

Treasurer’s report by Hansen went through the Audit Report for 2022.

Robertson gave her report on projects that Director Connie Pofahl had been working on: getting the gables fixed, a new gas stove/oven for the kitchen, the duplexes have been sold with one couple moved in with the other to move in at the end of Feb, rooms in the main building are currently all rented out with the two empty rooms needing repairs before the new residents can move in.

Pofahl gave her report and thanked the board for their time and support over the past year. She also thanked the residents for helping to keep Westview a great place to live, and talked about memorials that have been received. Pofahl mentioned purchased items of fans, a plate warmer, silverware, glasses, and the consideration of a carpet cleaner.

Terms of President Marion Robertson and Vice President Gary Newth were up. Robertson asked for nominations for the open positions. Robertson and Newth were nominated to remain on the board. A vote was taken and both will serve on the board for another term.

The meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.

Pofahl reported that as of Feb 12th there are 32 residents in the main building and nine residents in the duplexes. “We are currently full and have a waiting list,” she said.
