Wallace entities receive funds from community foundation PDF Print E-mail

The Wallace Community Founation, an affiliate of the Nebraska Community Foundation, donated funds to two Wallace community organizations and a community project at halftime of the boys varsity basketball game against Hitchcock County on Friday, Feb. 11.
The Wallace Fire Department received $5,000 for the placement of a defibrillator at the Wallace School.
The American Legion Post 213 received $1,000 to help repair the floor in the Legion building.
Two thousand dollars were presented to the Indian Artifacts Cabinet Project. The cabinets were built by Tim Vapenik and David Anderson in the commons area of the Wallace School. The cabinets are being used to display Indian artifacts found locally and placed in the cabinets by Kenneth Shrowder.
Also contributing funds to the Indian Artifacts Cabinet Project were the Wallace Lions Club  and Smith Financial Services, each with donations of $250.
