Wrestlers travel to Gordon-Rushville for weekend competition PDF Print E-mail

Perkins County Plainsmen wrestlers, short in numbers due to injuries, traveled to Gordon-Rushville for the Saturday, Dec. 11 tournament.

The team accumulated 15 team points, and finished 12th of 15 schools participating.

Valentine finished first with a team score of 160.5. Ainsworth was second with 136.5 and Chadron third with 123. Other participating teams included Phillip, S.D., Mullen, Mitchell, Ogallala, Gordon Rushville, Bennett County, S.D., Sidney, Pine Ridge, S.D., Red Cloud, SD, Hay Springs and Little Wound, S.D.

No medals returned home with the Plainsmen this time, but several pins showed up on the record book.

The Plainsmen will compete a little closer to home in a tournament hosted by Sutherland Saturday, Dec. 18.
