The North Platte Concert Association presents the 2010-2011 season, “Make Music Real in Your Life,” a series of concerts held at the Neville Center for the Performing Arts. All times are Central.

Beckie Menzie and Tom Michael will be presenting Thursday, Oct. 7 at 7:30 p.m. Menzie and Michael offer a unique blend of whimsy, nostalgia and talent that translates into pure entertainment. 

Their imaginative musical twists on jazz favorites, standards, contemporary pop, Broadway show tunes and film gems, have won them audience and critical acclaim across the country and around the globe.

Saturday, Oct. 30 will feature Many Moccasins at a 3 p.m. matinee and 7:30 p.m. performance in partnership with the Nebraska Arts Council and Adventure LIED, sponsored by the Lied Center for the Performing Arts.

This dance troupe based in Winnebago, founded in 2001, gives an educational and entertaining performance that showcases many dance styles and music. It is the only Native American dance troupe in the tri-state region. Drummer Moses Brings Plenty will perform with the troup.

Intersection Classical Trio will perform in Thursday, Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. Formed in 1998 and since forging a powerful connection with audiences worldwide, their numerous recordings have been bestsellers. They play a varied program from all parts of the music world in their concerts.

Simon & Son will be performing on Sunday March 6, 2011 at a 2 p.m. matinee, with one-of-a-kind world-class family entertainment. This is the only international father and son piano team on the concert circuit today performing with high energy, high humor, popular and classical music. An evening of keyboard acrobatics.

Burning River Brass will visit on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 7:30 p.m.

The ensemble presents classics from the concert stage to the big screen, ballet, opera, Broadway and more. Highlights include Bizet’s Carmen Suite, Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, Bernstein’s West Side Story and selections from favorite movies such as Raiders of the Lost Ark, Goldfinger, The Magnificent Seven, The Natural and Star Wars.
