School season is approaching fast for the Wallace School District so there are a few things to help you ease back into “school mode.”
Classes will begin on Aug. 16. This school year classes will begin at 8:05 a.m. and end at 3:38 p.m. Monday through Thursdays. On Friday, classes will begin at the same time but will end at 2:45 p.m.
For those students who ride a bus to school, bus route drivers will be calling a few days prior to the first day of school with approximate pickup and drop off times for each child’s bus route.
Lunch prices will continue to be the same price this year. For elementary students it will be $2, for grades 7-12 students it will be $2.25 and for adults it will be $3. Cooks will be serving sub sandwiches, seasoned fries and Jell-O cake on the first day of school.
New students to the school district will need to make sure to furnish a copy of their current physical, shot record and child’s birth certificate to the school upon admission. All new students are required to have documents turned in before they can attend classes, this includes new kindergarten students.
