Jenni Sis has recently been selected as the Beta Sigma Phi April “Senior of the Month.”

Sis, a student at Perkins County High School, is the daughter of Greg and Cheri Sis of Elsie.

Sis has shown leadership throughout her high school career with her involvement in many of the extracurricular activities.

She participated in volleyball, basketball, track and cheerleading as well as concert band and chorus.

She was also a member of mock trial, and one act plays.

She held the class office of vice president her senior year, is a member of National Honor Society and student council, as well as on the all A honor roll every semester of high school.

In community service, Sis has coached youth t-ball and basketball, has participated in fundraisers for Perkins County Youth Council, has helped clean and decorate Resurrection Catholic Church in Elsie and was a volunteer at the 2008 election.

She has been employed at Southwest Nebraska Community Betterment Corporation during her junior and senior years.

Sis has broadened her educational experience with travel, on a European tour of Switzerland, France, England, Rome and Italy and the 4-H Focus trip to Washington D.C.

After graduation, Sis plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

For being selected Senior of the Month, Sis’s picture will hang in the lobby of Pinnacle Bank in Grant and she will be eligible for a scholarship awarded at the end of the school year.

The Student of the Month and scholarship program are sponsored jointly by Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and Pinnacle Bank in Grant.
