Make plans to eat community Thanksgiving feast at Legion Hall PDF Print E-mail

The annual meal will be at the Grant American Legion Hall this year rather than the senior center as in past years due to the need for more space. Volunteers are needed to help.

This year’s annual Thanksgiving Day dinner has been moved to the American Legion Hall in Grant where a day of food, visiting and community cohesiveness is planned.
Everyone in the area is invited to the annual community dinner which is set for noon on Thursday, Nov. 26, with Bob and DeeAnn Tatum and Perry and Toni Weichmann organizing the event again this year.
Those choosing to attend are asked to bring a vegetable dish, salad or dessert—everything else will be furnished, such as the turkey, potatoes and gravy, stuffing, dinner rolls and other traditional dishes.
Volunteers are needed to help prepare ahead of time as well as help the day of the dinner.
To volunteer to help make the 2009 Thanksgiving Day Community Feast a success, call the Tatums at 352-4574 or the Weichmanns at 352-2609.
