The Plainsmen opened last week’s game with a 35-yard run by fullback Domonic Wendell. He was just a step away from breaking it for a touchdown. His run, followed by 22-yard scamper by Alex Patrick, set up the Plainsmen’s first score of the game.

Emotions washed over Plainsmen football players as they saw their season come to an end after a third-round playoff loss last week.

Plainsmen linemen cleared the way for Alex Patrick on this 15-yard touchdown run in last week’s playoff game. In addition to pulling down the game-winning catch, Patrick ran for 199 yards on 29 carries and three touchdowns.

The Perkins County Plainsmen beat the Clearwater-Orchard Cyclones 44-28 on Thursday, Oct. 26. They move on in the playoffs and will face off against West Holt on Haenfler Field today, Wednesday, Nov. 1.

Plainsmen players, coaches and fans still remember the devastating playoff loss Perkins County suffered at the hands of the Clearwater-Orchard Cyclones two years ago.
