PC Golf boys take third at NP’s River’s Edge; Kroeker takes fourth individually
Perkins County turned in a strong team performance Thursday, April 16, finishing third out of 12 teams at the varsity golf meet held at River’s Edge Golf Course in North Platte.
The Plainsmen posted a team score of 350, tying Overton for third place in the standings. Hershey won the meet with a 344, followed closely by North Platte Blue at 345. Valentine rounded out the top five with a 351.
Leading the way for Perkins County was Cade Kroeker, who earned an individual medal with a fourth-place finish. Kroeker carded rounds of 42 on the front nine and 38 on the back for an 80.
Jet Peterson added an 88 (41-47), while Rylee Schrotberger and Myles Bishop each shot 91. Schrotberger posted a 45-46, and Bishop recorded a 43-48. Colton Kroeker rounded out the team scoring with a 97 (51-46).
The meet featured a competitive 12-team field, with several teams finishing within a narrow scoring margin.
The Plainsmen will competed again on Tuesday, April this time on their home course, Pheasant Run, results will appear in a future issue of the Tribune.
Next week, on Tuesday April 28 the team will travel to Garden County for a 9 a.m. tee-time. Good luck, Plainsmen!
