Fourth graders plant trees in Grant Park

Grant Tree Board and Lions Club members teamed up with Perkins County fourth graders at the Grant City Park to plant two new trees: Bigtooth maples, of the fourth graders’ choosing, on Wednesday, April 26. The tree planting event was in celebration of Arbor Day, officially the last Friday in April each year. Finishing one of the trees are (l-r): Karsyn Kuper, Paetyn Lormier (with shovel), Parker Tjaden (kneeling), Ed Dunn, city manager; Corbin Cockerill and Jireh Mireles.
