Pulpit Reflections

Whosoever will

God created mankind, not as puppets but with choices.

In Genesis 3:1-15, Adam and Eve were given a choice. God said “Don’t eat of the tree of knowledge.” But Satan said to Eve, “You will surely not die. Go ahead and eat.” They chose to disobey God and to eat from the tree of knowledge.

That day sin entered the human race, Adam died spiritually. The bad news is that we all inherited Adam’s sin nature. We are dead in trespasses and sin.

Romans 5:12, “Therefore as sin came into the world through one man and death as the result of sin, so death spread to all men, because all men sinned.”

The good news is God loves us greatly and by sending His Son, Jesus, into the world to die on the cross, he has provided a way out of that sinfulness.

Jesus rose again and is alive today and we can simply trust Him for our salvation to enable us for heaven. Choose Christ and you will live; reject Him and you will reap death and hell.

John 3:16, Amplified Bible, “For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He gave up his only begotten  Son that whosoever believeth in (clings to, relies on)  Him, should not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.”

All who choose to receive Jesus Christ will have eternal life. This may be your last opportunity to believe and receive Christ as Savior or be condemned forever.

John 3:18, “He that believeth in him is not condemned but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

Is God tugging on your heart; Jesus greatly loves you!

The last invitation of the Bible, Revelation 22:17, Amplified Bible, says, “The (Holy) Spirit and the bride (the church, the true Christians) say, Come! And let him who is listening say, Come! And let everyone come who is thirsty (who is painfully conscious of his need of those things by which the soul is refreshed, supported and strengthened); and whoever (earnestly) desires to do it, let him come and take and appropriate (drink) the Water of Life without cost.”

What is your will? Do you want to be in God’s family? Do you want God’s blessings and eternal life?

Let Jesus into your life, he loves you. Ask Him!
