Hatch’s Super Foods in Grant and Perkins County Health Services will once again provide holiday Christmas meals for families in need this year.

A total of 24 boxes will be distributed on Friday, Dec. 16, along with Angel Tree gifts.

Each meal box, packed and delivered to the designated pickup point by Hatch’s  and PCHS staff contains a ham, milk, butter, stuffing, the makings for green bean casserole (green beans, cream of mushroom soup and French onions), yams, brown sugar and marshmallows. Perkins County Health Services is donating the hams; butter and milk is being provided by Hatch’s.

Included in the box will be cooking instructions, recipes and suggestions for leftovers provided by Shana Kraus, PCHS dietitian.

Donations are being accepted through the end of December at Hatch’s Super Foods. Donations are accepted any time by the ministerial association.

Proceeds collected beyond what is used for the meal boxes will be used for gift cards and given to the ministerial assocation to distribute as they see fit.
