Perkins County SPYFL begins season

The Perkins County South Platte Football Youth League (SPYFL) team began its year on Saturday, Sept. 10 in Sterling, Colo. The team’s first game was against Brush, Colo., with the Plainsmen winning 18 to 8. On Saturday, Sept. 17, they beat Sterling 20-0. Members of the team this year are, front row, l-r: Brantlee Fay, Grant Gloy, Tyson Schwanebeck, Grayson Baumgartner, and Spencer Michael. Middle row, l-r: Ethan Gonzalez, Spencer Williams, Mason Minster, Victor Dunn, Cadge Uehling and Orion Knoles. Back row are Assistant Coach Randy Minster, and Head Coach Marlin Wendell. The team plays every Saturday through Oct. 15 in Sterling, Colo.
