Every day creativity

Pulpit Reflections

We need creativity to lead our daily life. Mothers and fathers need creativity to grow children. Pastors need creativity to preach sermons. The supermarket in town needs creativity to sell things to the public. Creativity is necessary every day.

“You see things; you say ‘Why?’ But I dream things that never were; and I say, ‘Why not’?” – George Bernard Shaw

Teachers need to be creators. The next developing news will be exposed in the best way to make explosive effects, thanks to a creative journalist.

One of the best creative videos that I watch all the time is produced by National Geographic photographer Dewitt Jones.

He said creativity is personal. Creativity inspires you to look for more than one right answer. Take risks without fear of mistakes. Know the importance of changing directions at times and how to turn problems into opportunities.

The good news is that we are born with the talent for being creative. We need to develop the practice and find a way to turn the ordinary that we do every day into something extraordinary for the benefit of all.

As a Christian, it is my responsibility to do, to treat, to love, to judge, to practice patience, to make things happen, to believe, to trust, to transform and to be a messenger of the good news in a different way, using my every day creativity, all the time.

Are you ready? Because it’s better to be somebody who dies trying, than one who never tries because of fear.
