Wildcats suffer last second loss

Game four for the Wallace Wildcats ended up going down to the wire. The Cats were hosting the Sutherland Sailors and they were able to maintain a lead throughout the game until late in the final period. The Sailors clawed their way back in the game and caused it to go down to a last second shot to determine a winner.

The game may have ended with a lot of intensity, but it didn’t start out that way. The first quarter was a low scoring, defensive battle. Wallace put the first points on the board with a Ty Maline jump shot, but the Sailors eventually responded with a trey.

Logan Rosentrater got a short jumper as well but Sutherland took the lead with another 3-pointer. Late in the quarter, Kaden Hager scored from beyond the arc to give Wallace a 7-6 lead at the end of the quarter.
