Three more incumbent filings received

Three more filings have been received at the Perkins County Clerk’s office just short of the Feb. 15 deadline for incumbents.
As of Tuesday morning, incumbent Jeffery Skeels has filed to remain on the Perkins County Hospital Board; incumbent Tierney Petersen for Grant City Council and Chris Fryzek and Angela Gloy, also incumbents, for Perkins County School Board have all filed.
New candidates have until March 1 to file.
As of Monday, Ed Dunn remains the only candidate who’s filed for the District #44 seat with the Nebraska Secretary of State’s office.
Remaining open seats:
One seat remains open for Perkins County School Board; and two remain for the Perkins County Hospital Board.
Two seats will be up for election on each of the Elsie, Madrid and Venango Village Boards this year. No filings have been received, but those boards have a later July filing deadline.
