Native grasses and flowers were planted at the Grant City Park Thursday, Sept. 29 by the Grant Tree Board, FFA and community members. The project was possible by a grant from the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, who provided approximately 200 native and pollinator-friendly plants which were placed in the planter in front of the bandshell and along the south side of the park. Hanna Pinneo, executive director of the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum and Christina Hoyt of the Nebraska Forest Service delivered the plants and superivised the planting.
