Missoula Children’s Theatre auditions scheduled for production in Grant

Auditions will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of Red Riding Hood on Monday, February 28, from 3:45 p.m.- 5:45 p.m. Those auditioning should arrive at 3:40 p.m. and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.
Among the roles to be cast are Red Riding Hood; her three Girlfriends; Little Loveable Wolf; the Hood family; the Three Little Pigs; a woodsman; a locksmith; Ranger Rooney; The Boy who Cried Wolf; the Wolfgang; Forest Shadows; and some rascally raccoons.
Students in Kindergarten through 12th grade are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. The MCT Tour actor/directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 3:45p.m. to 8 p.m. each day until showtime.
Red Riding Hood will be presented on Saturday, March 5 at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Perkins County Elementary gym.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre residency in Perkins County is presented locally Perkins County Youth Arts Program with support from Perkins County Community Foundation Fund, Perkins County Schools Foundation, and Perkins County Lions Club.
