The Elsie seniors held their monthly luncheon Tuesday, Sept. 19, at the Elsie Legion Hall. A scarecrow-themed cake was provided by Sandhills State Bank.
Mayor Mike Wyatt presided over the Grant City Council meeting on Sept. 12 after an extended absence.

Swarms of Painted lady butterflies have made a lengthy stop in the Grant area throughout the last week, and have been seen in some instances, by the hundreds.
