The shelter that stood at the Grant City park since its construction by the Grant Lions Club in 1979, has found a new home next to the Lion’s Shelter at the Perkins County Fairgrounds. The fairgrounds can always benefit from more shaded area and the shelter was in need of relocation due to the new pool being built at the park.

Several fair board members were busy setting poles and pouring in the concrete for the “new” shelter at the fairgrounds on Monday.

Fair grounds new home for Lions shelter from Grant Park

Although the 2020 fair will play out a bit different than in years past, the fair board and 4-H council have both been busy working and planning this modified event.

Adams Insurance Advisors honored as Chamber’s June business spotlight

Jeff Wallin, an agent  for Adams Insurance Advisors was present at the June Chamber meeting and was recognized as the Business Spotlight. 

Wallin has been with the company since 2001.
