This year’s quilt block challenge has new format

This year’s quilt block challenge for the Perkins County Fair has a new format. Participants are asked to decorate a 2’x2’ wooden square.

These would be ideal for display on a house, garage or fence, or in a garden.

Suggestions

It is recommended that participants prime the wood first, applying three coats and allowing to dry between coats. If the finished product is to be used outdoors, use exterior paint. 

Three coats of paint will give the best results. Use bright colors, frame edges in black if desired. Paint the lightest colors first. Make it special, be creative and have fun!

Entries are due Wednesday, July 19 at the Perkins County Fairgrounds.
