Work begins on Highway 61
Work began on Highway 61 Monday, May 21 at the Perkins/Keith County line and will continue 11 miles into Grant. Paulsen, Inc. of Cozad has the $4,220,442 contract, and work will include concrete patching, asphalt overlay and shoulder work. Traffic will be maintained with lane closures, flaggers and a pilot vehicle with a 12-foot width restriction. The Department’s project manager is Duane Collins of McCook. Motorists are asked to drive cautiously through construction zones and expect delays. The project is anticipated to be completed by November.
