New tower near completion

The cell phone tower located just west of Elsie on Road 324 is near completion. The Verizon tower project began in mid-November and upon the installation of a fiber optic cord and a bit of fine tuning from Verizon technicians, the tower will hopefully be functioning before farming season kicks off, according to Perkins County Zoning administrator Bob Tatum. “The tower will definitely improve the phone situation in that area,” Tatum said.
