Fire at former Tharp’s property
The Grant Volunteer Fire Department extinguished a fire quickly at the former Tharp’s property directly south of Grant on Wednesday morning, Dec. 6. Chief Don Softley said they suspect the fire started from electrical wires from a yard light dropping down and igniting the grass. Softley said they were on scene for only 15-20 minutes.
