Hopping happy for the Bunny!Children from across the Hi-Line came out to greet the Easter Bunny and hunt eggs at various Easter Egg Hunts last week and weekend. Above, the Venango Easter Egg Hunt, held by Anita Perez, had over 30 kids this year. Donations for the hunt were made by the Village of Venango, Venango Lions Club and Classic 1 Welding.

Easter Egg Hunts successful

Kids of all ages had fun at Easter Egg Hunts across the Hi-Line this past week. (See Venango hunt information on the front page. No information was available from Madrid at press time.)

Elsie

The annual Elsie Easter egg hunt was held Saturday, April 8 at the  Elsie Methodist Church. Many children showed up to hunt for eggs. 

There were two “prize” eggs hidden for each age group. The following children are the ones who found the prize eggs: Luke Downey, Owen Downey, Ava Downey, Jena Robertson, Duke Johnson, Sam Dircksen.

Wallace

Preschool children from Wallace Public Schools took part in a hunt put on by the Wallace High School’s National Honor Society, which was sponsored by high school librarian Deb Jameson, and Faith Memorial Library with the assistance of volunteer Sharon Ryun. The Wallace hunt is an annual event held at Faith Memorial Library. National Honor Society student Brenley Johnson served as the Easter Bunny this year.

Wallace school also had a hunt on Thursday, April 6. 

Grant

Perkins County Chamber of Commerce put on the Easter Egg Hunt April 8 at the Grant City Park. Approximately 200 kids participated. Those wanting to make a donation to help with next year’s Easter Egg Hunt please mail checks to PC Chamber PO box 767 Grant NE 69140.
