Cancellations and Postponements
• Per the CDC’s recommendation of reducing gatherings to 10 people or less, effective 8 a.m. on Mar. 17, the City is cancelling all meetings and gatherings at all City owned facilities. All City Recreation programming is suspended and use of City ballfields and parks for games and practices is prohibited through Mar. 29.
• Per the NSAA, all activity practices are cancelled through Mar. 30, and all competitions are cancelled through Apr. 2. All SPVA events are cancelled through Apr. 24.
• The Perkins County Senior Center will not be doing congregate meals for two weeks. They will provide carryout and delivery.
• The Perkins County Thrift Shoppe is closed this week.
• The blood drive scheduled for Apr. 7 is cancelled.
• The Nebraska Department of Education has suspended statewide assessments by one week.
• Perkins County Schools classes have been cancelled through Mar. 29.
• Perkins County Schools will be closed through Mar. 29.
• Wallace Schools will be closed through Mar. 19, and students should attend a shortened class day on Friday. Schools will then close again.
