The Perkins County Chamber Member of the Year went to Monica Poppe (left) who is pictured above accepting her certificate from President Samantha Goff. Poppe has been a member of Chamber for two years, and finds it crucial to have an active organization that will help local businesses. As a new board member, she has many ideas regarding outreach to businesses within Perkins County and she wants to help Chamber continue to grow. She said she is very humbled and thankful to receive the award.

Country Supply was selected as the Business of the Year. Steve and Charlene Faber (left) and Jessie Faber (far right) accept a certificate from Chamber President Samantha Goff. The Fabers have owned Country Supply since 2005. The shop offers all sorts of hardware needs include housewares, tools, gardening, plumbing, electrical, farm and ranch supplies and paint. Angela Gloy and Deanne Bishop (left) and Ashley Colglazier (right) of Front Line Strong accept their certificate in recognition of their award for Organization. The group, who is excited to be named Organization of the Year, was formed when the pandemic first hit local nursing homes in July last year. Ashley Colglazier, Lauren Klima, Deanne Bishop and Angela Gloy are the original founders, and have since added Val Foster to their team. The goal of the organization is to offer support to the local healthcare community through gift bags, food delivery and words of encouragement. Since its inception, Front Line Strong has provided support to every department of the hospital and clinics (including the clinic in Ogallala), nursing home, assisted living, all county fire departments, sheriff’s office, pharmacy, the local mortician, school staff and teachers and Westview employees.
