Many events planned for Fourth
A plethora of patriotic happenings are planned for the annual Fourth of July celebration in the Grant City Park.
The annual celebration is sponsored by the Perkins County Chamber of Commerce and all events are at the park unless otherwise noted.
After opening ceremonies at 6:45 a.m. the firecracker fun run/walk starts at 7 a.m.
Breakfast will be held from 7-9:30 a.m. with barefoot yoga at 9 a.m.
Water games will be held at 10 a.m. with the 3-on-3 basketball tournament starting at 10:30 a.m.
From 11 a.m.-1 p.m. lunch will be held with a dog wash from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m.
The annual car show and bounce house fun start at noon. A rock climbing wall starts at noon with slushies served at 1 p.m., coinciding with the start of the dodgeball and horseshoe tournaments.
Free swimming starts at 1 p.m. with the rib cookoff judging at 2:30 p.m. The talent show is at 5 p.m. as is the evening meal.
Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. at the fairgrounds.
