PCHS students awarded for talent PDF Print E-mail


Several Perkins County High School students received awards from the Phillips County Art Show held on March 29 in Holyoke.    
Senior Sarah Medich received Best of Student first place for her collage mixed media work of a saxophone.  Sophomore Josie Osler received Best of Student third place for a colored pencil Kachina Cubism drawing.
Other seniors receiving recognition were: Chase Anderson, second place in digital photograph (panoramic), Chase Miyamoto, honorable mention for pottery. Tim Johnson, honorable mention for cut paper collage and Courtney Lyon, honorable mention in graphite drawing.
Juniors receiving recognition for their artwork: Hannah Beck, second place in graphite drawing, Shane Ourada, honorable mention in graphic design and Claire Friedel, honorable mention for her colored pencil drawing.
Other sophomores receiving honors: Bailey Johnson, second place–graphite drawing and Brandon Holtz, third place–tempera painting.
Freshman Andrea Winkel received honorable mention in pen and ink, watercolor and Claire Maaliao received honorable mention for sketch assignment drawing.
