Magnificat brunch to feature area priest as speaker Sept. 28 PDF Print E-mail

Fr. Bernard Lorenz of Imperial will be the featured speaker at the Magnificat Brunch hosted by the Ogallala Chapter, Our Lady of the Harvest, on Saturday, Sept.28, at Ogallala at 9 a.m. MT. The brunch will be served at Valentino’s, 55 East River Road, off the I-80 exit.
Fr. Bernard is the 12th child of a family that farmed west of Crete. After graduating from Wilber/Claytonia High, he attended his freshman year of college at UNL, then spent three years at the College Seminary in Erlanger, Ky. He received a Master of Divinity from St. Charles Borromeo Theology Seminary in Philadelphia and was ordained in Lincoln in 1985 He has been a happy priest for 28 years in the Lincoln Diocese. Also, Fr. Bernard was blessed to be a missionary in Barquisimeto, Venezuela for six years.
He will share how he has been loved by God through the World Wide Marriage Encounter movement, Cursillo, Light of the World, and the Charismatic movement. His passion is the Divine Mercy of God expressed in the Holy Sacrament of Reconciliation and Natural Family Planning. He is presently pastor of Imperial and Dean of the Grant Deanery and rejoicing in the moment of Divine Mercy.
