ATV event rides in to Lake McConaughy PDF Print E-mail

Lake McConaughy will host its very first ATV riding event—ATV Jamboree at Lake McConaughy—Sept. 27-29. This is the first time the Nebraska Game & Parks Commission has permitted ATV riding at the state’s largest lake recreation area.
The event will encompass Arthur Bay to Sandy Beach at Lake McConaughy, over 1,000 acres of riding area. Events being planned for the weekend include an ATV/UTV Poker Run, guided tours, dealer displays, open riding, and live entertainment and a beer garden at Lone Eagle Campground on Saturday, 5-8 p.m.
ATV riding will be limited to the specified event area, and only for registered participants.
The event is being presented by Keith County Area Development and the Ogallala/Keith County Chamber of Commerce.
The ATV Jamboree at Lake McConaughy will begin on Friday, Sept. 27, at noon; and conclude on Sunday, Sept. 29, at 4 p.m. The event is open to all ATV/UTV riders 18 years and older—although riders under 18 are permitted if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian or with a signed/notarized release.
There is a registration fee per vehicle (limited to the first 1,000 vehicles registered).
