Dr. Shannon Jensen (left) checks in with her Perkins County Animal Shelter staff, Janice Owens and Jessica Bollinger, who accepted admission fees and passed out wine glasses and bidding numbers for the auction throughout the evening. Approximately 100 people attended the fundraiser to benefit the no-kill shelter located on the south edge of Grant. Some good news is that a cat named Shamrock, who was featured in last week’s issue of the Tribune as having been in he shelter over a year, has since been adopted.

Shown in the background as part of a slide show featuring 500 photos is one of the animal shelter’s residents who is seeking a home. Those in attendance were treated to many delectable hors d’oeuvres, various wines and other beverages. Both a live auction and silent auction were held to also help raise funds for the shelter which is currently housing 10 dogs and seven cats. Five more dogs are scheduled to arrive this week.
