Cattlemen’s Ball will feature activity-packed weekend PDF Print E-mail

Volunteers needed for the event to be held near Sutherland June 7-8.

On June 7, a Trail Boss reception will be held to open the Cattlemen’s Ball, with a live auction to follow. A midnight dance to Shur Thing will be held in the saloon tent.
A four-person golf scramble at West Wind Golf Club also will be held June 7.
On June 8, Trail Boss ticket holders are invited to a champagne brunch. The Trebelmakers will perform in the saloon tent during the champagne brunch.
The main gate and tents open mid morning on June 8. There will be a silent auction, art show, wine tasting, a general store and concessions. Opening ceremonies will be held during the morning hours.
As the day progresses, the Front Street Review will perform and a ranch rodeo also is planned. A Trail Boss luncheon will be held.
Other afternoon activities include a Patsy Cline performance, stock handling demonstration, western style show and a performance by an inspirational guitarist.
Welcome ceremonies will be held on June 8, followed by dinner and a live auction.
Following dinner, Lone-star will perform and a dance to Shur Thing will be held following the concert.
Tickets for the event are $75 for a Top Hand ticket, which allows entrance for the June 8 afternoon and evening events, while a Trail Boss ticket, priced at $350, allows admittance to June 7 evening and all-day June 8 events.

Local volunteers are needed to help with the undertaking of hosting what is anticipated to be about 5,000 people during the event.
Approximately 350 volunteers are needed. Service clubs and groups of individuals are encouraged to view the website and see where they might best be able to offer help. Volunteers are asked to register on the website.
