Plan to attend the April 4 Imperial Tree Care Workshop. The past years of drought have hurt many trees in southwest Nebraska. UNL Extension and Nebraska Forest Service are sponsoring a tree care workshop where participants can get answers to questions on tree problems and care.
The free tree care workshop begins at 9 a.m. MT time at the Lied Library, Imperial. Topics that will be covered include:
• Tree Selection for SW Nebraska: choosing drought tolerant, sustainable trees
• Proper tree planting
• Pruning tree basics
• Hands-on tree pruning at the CCS arboretum
