Adams Bank & Trust of Grant and Madrid would like to introduce our newest team members, Melissa Wilson and Katie Winget.
Melissa Wilson is a commercial ag banker at Adams Bank & Trust in Grant. She is a 1990 graduate of Wheatland High School and has lived in Madrid most of her life.
She started working at the bank on Nov. 3, 2000, as a part-time teller for the Madrid and Grant branches.
She has held several positions within the bank, which include financial services representative, personal banker, branch manager and recently administrative assistant to John Paisley, the regional president, in the Imperial branch. In 2003, she attended School of Banking Fundamentals and in 2010, attended School of Lending Principals.
Just recently, her family moved to a house in Grant. Her husband, Derek, is owner of Wilson Feed Yard.
They have four children– Ashley (Brott) Steele of Scottsbluff, Tyler Brott, who goes to college at Mid-Plains Community College in North Platte, Sydney Wilson, who is a seventh grader at Perkins County High School and Emily Wilson, five, who attends preschool at Perkins County Schools.
Melissa’s parents are Linda Hesman of Madrid and Ken Kohmetscher of Grant.
Her mother and father-in-law are Rex and Pat Wilson of Grant.
She has enjoyed working for Adams Bank & Trust these years and she stated, the best part of her job is getting to know the customers and helping them with their financial needs.
“I enjoy working with people and helping them get a new loan, whether it’s purchasing a new car, remodeling their house, purchasing or refinancing their house or even as simple as notarizing a document,” she said.
Katie Winget joined Adams Bank & Trust on Jan. 2, 2013 as a financial services representative in the Madrid branch location. She brings five years previous personal banker experience with Points West Community Bank.
Katie is a native of Lingle, Wyo. and graduated in 2007 from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Currently, she lives in Elsie and is engaged to Cameron Sis, also of Elsie.
Katie is excited about this new opportunity with Adams Bank and she is looking forward to getting to know the community.
