Fizzle or fire

Pastor Ronald Vote
Wallace Bible Fellowship

Psalm 85:6, “Wilt Thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in Thee?”
Does God seem far away? How is your spiritual appetite? Has church become common place or unimportant? What about the Word of God, prayer, or worship?
Then revival is for you that your joy may be full. I pray the messages for the month of November will help many to be blessed and encouraged.
God wants His children to be fired up, while the devil wants to put a wet blanket on your fire. God has a personal and great plan for your life. In John 10:10(b) Jesus said, “I am come that you might have life and have it more abundantly.” God wants us to experience the filling of the Holy Spirit, rejoicing and fired up while living in this enemy territory.
In this battle John 10:10(a) tells us Satan is a thief, “The thief comes not but for to steal, kill, and destroy”
What are some of the tools Satan and his demons use on our lives? Discouragement, deception and pride are a few of the tools Satan uses. Proverbs 13:10 says, “By pride cometh contention.” God’s remedy is in James 4:7, 8, “Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
Christianity is God restoring man’s sin separated relationship in and through Jesus’ death and resurrection.
I encourage you to choose wisely, look at the facts and experience God’s forgiveness and love. Proverbs 13:20 exhorts us, “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” Choose the right friends and the right church.
It is easy for every one of us to backslide! That blessed old song, “Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing,” has the revealing heart cry of every Christian that ever found himself a backslider. It says “Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it; prone to leave the God I love.”
Will you join me in asking for the Lord to forgive us for wandering and draw nigh to our Lord today? Every one of us needs to have the right kind of walk with the Lord.
