Follow nationally acclaimed photographer Michael Forsberg as he examines what wildness remains in the Great Plains of North America, featuring brilliant and stunning imagery. NET Television’s “Great Plains: America’s Lingering Wild,” premiered Sunday Nov. 25 and will repeat Sunday, Dec. 2 at 2:30 p.m. CT on NET1 and NET-HD. The program is based on Forsberg’s book of the same name.
Stretching nearly one million square miles down to the heart of the continent, the Great Plains is a fragile and threatened ecosystem, home to a variety of wildlife and habitats. In “Great Plains,” Forsberg examines the wildlife and native landscapes that remain, exploring the condition of the plains ecosystem today.
Through his examination of the Great Plains, Forsberg meets a host of dedicated people working to keep the wildness alive through prairie management and restoration.
