It was a definite crowd-pleaser Friday night as the Lady Plainsmen were the victors in a home triangular against Bayard and Garden County on Oct. 26.
The Lady Plainsmen beat Bayard in the first match in two sets, 25-17 and 25-18; it took three sets for the home team to get the win over Garden County in the last match of the evening 14-25, 25-20 and 26-12.
The middle game with Bayard and Garden County ended in Bayard’s favor in two sets, 25-19 and 25-21.
The match was the last regular season competition before subdistricts, which began Monday, Oct. 29.
“We wanted to win,” said Head Coach Penny Hite. “Being our last home game, we knew we wanted to make the most out of it.”
