Humphrey selected as October’s senior of month PDF Print E-mail

Chosen as October’s senior of the month is Matisyn Humphrey of rural Grant.
A senior at Perkins County High School, Humphrey has been a positive role model through her involvement in extracurricular activities at school, and participation in rodeo queen pageants.
Her extracurricular activities include track, basketball, volleyball, scholastics, FFA, FCCLA, speech and yearbook.
She is also a member of student council, National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
She currently holds the title of South West Nebraska Rodeo Queen and was voted Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska in 2009.
She has been active in the community and rodeo world with her participation in auctions, Little Kids rodeos and horse rides and clinics.
She has volunteered at respite care and was a Bible school volunteer.
Her work history includes employment at Valentino’s, Bullock Farms and Image Total Fitness.
Following graduation, she would like to attend a two-year community college in Nebraska, then attend a university. She plans to major in psychology and minor in personal training.
Humphrey is the daughter of Chuck and Rochelle Humphrey of Grant.
For being selected Senior of the Month, Humphrey’s picture will hang in the lobby of Pinnacle Bank in Grant and she will be eligible for a scholarship awarded at the end of the school year.
The Student of the Month and scholarship program are sponsored by Pinnacle Bank of Grant and members of the community.
