A drop of water in His name

Have you ever felt like you weren’t good enough? Don’t have enough? Haven’t done enough? Just aren’t enough? What if the ‘not enough’ in your eyes was “just enough” in God’s eyes? A drop of water in Jesus’ name goes a long ways. God uses small drops to make a big splash.
Scripture verifies God’s power to use the small to make something big. “With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable will we use for it? It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth; yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes the greatest of all shrubs, and puts forth large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.” Mark 4:30-32
The problem is, we’ve been duped into believing bigger is better. It is easy for people not to do anything for God if we think God is only interested in BIG–no, God is interested in YOUR small–God uses small drops to make a big splash.
Solution? Whatever you do –do in the name of the Lord. (Colossians 3:17) Take your small – and let God do something Big. Don’t you want to be a part of God’s BIG? … then get your small on!
Imagine if we all did one thing in the name of the Lord–share cookies with a neighbor, spend time with a person that needs company, share how God is your strength, pray with a person who needs encouragement, leave money for the person behind you in line at the grocery store, babysit for the young couple who need a night out, etc., etc., etc.
“Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.” – Jesus, Matthew 25:34-36
Accept this challenge: do something small each day for another person and offer it in the name of the Lord.
