To raise funds and awareness of breast cancer and the importance of regular mammograms, Adams Bank and Trust of Grant and Madrid will present a lucky winner with a pink quilt made by Joyce Pankonin of Imperial.        Funds generated by ticket sales will be donated to Perkins County Health Services for the purchase of mammopads, cushions that aid in comfort for women having mammograms.
Tickets for the quilt are on sale through the end of October at both Adams Bank & Trust locations. The quilt is currently on display at the Grant office. The drawing will take place on Oct. 31 at the Grant location.
Perkins County Health Services Foundation Administrator, Jody Snogren, said, “I am impressed and humbled by the creative ways this community steps up to help others. Adams Bank has found a way to promote breast cancer awareness and raise money for a very worthy cause. The soft mammo pads that will be purchased by the money raised, are used frequently and requested by many women who have tried them. Anything that can be done to get more women in to Perkins County Health Services and get their yearly screening is a great thing!”
