A new first grade instructor is getting to know her students this week at Wallace School.
Rachel Hanson, who happens to also have a new kindergartner who started school at Wallace, previously taught first grade in Elkhorn Public Schools.
She and husband Nick live near Elsie. She served in the Wallace School as a substitute teacher prior to assuming her full-time teaching position this year.
Hanson is a graduate from Coleridge High School and received her teaching degree from the University of Nebraska.
She is a busy mother of three, Ryleigh, Max and Bradley.
