Saturday, May 12 will mark a special day for 27 classmates who will be graduating from the halls of Perkins County High School at 1 p.m.
The class of 2012 chose red, black and white as their colors and their motto is, “A ship in the harbor is safe, but that’s not why ships are built.”
Seniors will give their chosen class flower, a white rose, to their parents and/or other special people in their lives while accompanied by the song, “You’ll Be In My Heart” by Phil Collins.
Each senior will be featured in a video presentation during the ceremony.
Delivering short speeches will be the class officers, President Tori Osler, Vice President Ashley Kemling, Secretary Kristin Beck, and Treasurer Trevor Lee.
Three talented seniors, Ethan Behrends, Emma Friedel and Tori Osler, will perform special music during the graduation ceremony—a song by Rascal Flatts entitled, “I’m Movin’ On.”
The board of education will hand the seniors their diplomas and the students will exit the gym to their class song, “Good Life” by One Republic.
