Wildcats compete in Twilight meet PDF Print E-mail

The Wallace Wildcats traveled to Benkelman on Friday, May 4 for the DCS Twilight Meet. There were 10 schools competing, including: Cheylin (Kan.), Rawlins County (Kan.), Dundy County Stratton, Hayes Center, Maywood, Chase County, Perkins County, Wauneta/Palisade, South Platte, and Wallace.
Wallace placed 10th in both the girls and boys final standings with 14 and 6 points respectively.
Several of the Wildcats improved their personal best marks: Shane Anders (100–13.2, shot–37’2”), Juan Gomez (3200–12:58.40), John Marquardt (100–13.0, shot–36’6.5”, discus–101’5”), Taylor Nielson (800­­–2:24.10), Jackson Porter (100–14.0, shot–35’7.5”), Anna Griffiths (800–3:02), Sara Hubbard (400–1:08.5), and Mickayla Sheets (800–2:48, discus–58’11”).
Other meet highlights included Shane Anders making Super Cat and Alex Lundvall’s return to competition.
The next meet for the Wildcats is the D10 District Meet to be held in Sutherland on Wednesday, May 9th.
