On Saturday, April 21, the Grant Lions gave a new updated version of the American Gothic painting. “This motley bunch did a yeoman’s job of improving the rock landscape around Westview Retirement Community,” said Ted Tietjen. “Of course, Gerry’s incentive to provide home made rolls and coffee after the job was completed moved the project to completion in short order.”
Project chairman, Mike Long, prodded the group along with his outstanding leadership skills that included the threat of broken arms and legs if we didn’t get a move on, said Tietjen.
“By the way, Gerry’s rolls exceeded expectations.”
