Winning a playoff for first place, Alex Johnston of Perkins County took the first place medal at the Perkins County golf invitational April 17, scoring a 78. Also scoring 78 was Jared Arensdorf of North Platte St. Patrick’s.
Austin Thelander wasn’t far behind, scoring 81 and finishing fourth, winning a card playoff against Mitch Ferguson of St. Pat’s.
As a team, Perkins County finished in second place, scoring 341. First place went to North Platte St. Pat’s, who had three golfers in the top 10, and scored 334.
In third place was Chase County with 352 points, fourth was Garden County with 379 and fifth, Hershey with 389.

The Plainsmen golfers competed at Garden County High School on Tuesday, April 24, and will travel to North Platte to the SPVA tournament on Friday, April 27 at St. Pat’s High School.
