Midwest Electric announces 2012 senior scholarship recipients PDF Print E-mail

Congratulations to these four outstanding students who have been selected to receive scholarships by Midwest Electric and its power suppliers, Basin Electric Power Cooperative and Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc.
Kristin Beck of Grant is this year’s winner of the Basin Electric Power Cooperative $1,000 scholarship in the cooperative employee division. Kristin will graduate from Perkins County High School and plans to attend Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz. majoring in hospitality, restaurant, tourism management and minor in business management. She is the daughter of Janet and Doug Beck.    
Seth Burge of Grant is this year’s winner of the Basin Electric Power Cooperative $1,000 scholarship in the cooperative member-consumer division. Seth will graduate from Perkins County High School and plans to attend Southeast Community College at Beatrice, majoring in agriculture business. He is the son of Valerie Hochstein and Dan and Julie Burge.
Emily Hasenauer of Wallace is a Tri-State G&T $500 scholarship winner. She will graduate from Wallace High School and intends to go to South Dakota State University, majoring in apparel merchandising and business management. She is the daughter of Donalyn and Todd Hasenauer.
Ashley Kemling of Grant is a Tri-State G & T $500 scholarship winner. She will graduate from Perkins County High School and will be attending Tabor College at Hillsboro, Kan., majoring in elementary education and special education. She is the daughter of Jonette and Troy Kemling.
