Arraignment/sentencing start year in court PDF Print E-mail

One defendant was arraigned in Perkins County Court while another defendant was sentenced in District Court during the first week of January.
• Wesley T. Prottsman, 33, was arraigned before Judge Edward D. Steenburg in Perkins County Court on Jan. 4, facing a charge of alleged strangulation, a Class IV Felony.
The case is continued for a preliminary hearing in county court on Jan. 18.
The defendant is represented by court-appointed attorney Gregory Beal of Ogallala. Prosecuting the case is Perkins County Deputy Attorney Joel Phillips. The defendant is free on bond.
• Adam Sigler, 21, was sentenced in District Court by Judge Donald E. Rowlands on Jan. 6 for his plea of no contest to criminal mischief, a Class IV Felony.
The defendant was sentenced to 360 days in jail with credit for time served. The charge stems from damage to a center pivot in Perkins County. Court costs and restitution were waived.
The defendant was represented by attorney Michael Samuelson of Ogallala. Prosecuting the case was Joel Phillips, Perkins County Deputy Attorney.
