Jigsaw puzzle tournament to be held in North Platte
The North Platte Public Library Foundation is having its 8th Annual Jigsaw Puzzle Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Bethel Evangelical Free Church in North Platte. This will be the first fundraiser of the new year.
In 2012 the North Platte Public Library celebrates 100 years of service to North Platte and the surrounding communities.
There is an entry fee for each person in the adult and student divisions.
Four person team – 750 piece puzzle. Open to ages 15 and up.
Two person team – approximately 500-600 piece puzzle. Open to ages 15 and up.
Individual Competition – 400-550 piece puzzle. Open to ages 15 and up.
Two person team (Elementary School Division) Approximately 200-250 piece puzzle. Open to third grade through fifth grade students.
Two person team (Middle School Division) Approximately 300-500 piece puzzle. Open to 6th grade through 8th grade students.
In 2011, there was a record number of participants, 110 people on over 50 teams, and in 2012 it is anticipated even more. More corporate teams and group teams may be added. It is a great team-building exercise and fosters teamwork and cooperation among team members.
